Feature description

Weblate is like the open source version of Crowdin, and more open source focused.

This project is growing, the big when the entire project goes, the harder to migrate to another system, so it is better to starting this early.

Pitch

As above

There are two instances of public Weblate available

Both are free if you're free software, using Weblate means you have control to your translation system, even the host provider stopped service or not being free, you could still transfer to another hoster or self-hosted

If using Crowdin, you have no choices if they have no free plan anymore (or starting restricting on free plan).

I'll talk with elias, but it looks like the only free option for weblate is the self-hosted one, and that introduces a point of failure if where we'd host it goes down. While crowdin is free for the cloud based platform.

Thanks for your suggestion. Weblate looks interesting but currently I don't really see a reason why we should switch.

We will consider to migrate to Weblate in the future because it's open-source but currently I think there are more important things that we have to do for the project.

I convert this to a discussion because this isn't really a feature request for the Pocket ID application.
