Feature Request: better subscriptions #632
Reference in New Issue
Block a user
Delete Branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Originally created by @xrichNJ on GitHub (Jan 17, 2025).
Is this a feature for the backend or frontend?
Frontend
What would you like?
the ability to subscribe to anything (projects, boards, lists, cards). currently i only see a way to subscribe to cards and/or auto-subscribe to cards that i create myself.
Why is this needed?
currently, when a user creates something new, i (the admin), as well as the other users, have no way of being notified that something new has been posted.
if an account could subscribe to whatever level they wanted:
the email function works well for cards i'm already subscribed to, but an expansion of this email functionality with some granularity and customizability to keep users aware of new things popping up as they are added throughout the app would really go a long way for me and my users.

Hi! That sounds very convenient and correct. In v2 we've already added the ability to subscribe to the whole board, so the next version should be a bit better. I also completely agree that email notifications should be grouped rather than sent instantly for every update.

excellent! so excited, looking forward to this.
thanks @meltyshev !

+1 to this request. Looking forward to V2

Hey @meltyshev V2 is already here and it looks great! but I see no improvement on notifications (even subscribing to the board). Is this ahead on the roadmap? Is help needed?
@meltyshev commented on GitHub (May 16, 2025):
Hi! I've started working on extending event types for notifications - for example, when you've been added to a board or card.
