Description of the bug

I have encountered an issue which happens 100% of the time when I play back a video part way through and then go back to the beginning.

I'm not sure when this behaviour began, I only just came back to Jellyfin. So far it's considerably less buggy and much more reliable overall.

System

  • Armbian Noble for Orange Pi 5

Settings:

  • Happens for both CPU and GPU acceleration
  • With (transcoded) and without subtitles (drect play).
  • HEVC Main 10

After 5+ minutes, still waiting:

Reproduction steps

  1. Play a HEVC Main 10 video
  2. Skip to the centre
  3. Reload page to continue where it left off
  4. Click the beginning of video in the timescale
  5. Issue happens then

What is the current bug behavior?

The video will not continue playing until you reload the page OR skip ahead in the timescale.

What is the expected correct behavior?

The video will play from the beginning.

Jellyfin Server version
