Description of the bug

Next Up section shows seemingly random episode from recently added unwatched show.

Reproduction steps

  1. Install Jellyfin Server (tested on unraid and Windows)
  2. Add one library that contains one folder. Inside the folder is a show with 64 episodes and 64 subtitle files. Wait until it's processed.
  3. File names do NOT follow the SxExx scheme. But:
  4. Going to Season 1 of the show displays all episodes in proper order.

What is the current bug behavior?

Next Up section displays Episode 10.

What is the expected correct behavior?

Next Up section should follow the list of unwatched episodes as shown by Jellyfin, thus should display Episode 1.

Jellyfin requires media to be in a specific format. If you encounter issues due to improperly formatted media, it is not a problem with Jellyfin. Refer to the media guide documentation.
