Description of the bug

I have had this problem since I started using Jellyfin. Basically on the client browser certain media plays with the audio out of sync or some media doesn't start at all. Whereas using the apps for the various operating systems this problem does not happen. I have tried on multiple browsers such as Chrome, Edge and Firefox. On the first two it happens very often that the audio goes out of sync, while on Firefox this problem appears less but some media does not even play.

Open jellyfin on a browser
Play the media

The media is played with out of sync audio or it doesn't even start

Basically on the client browser certain media plays with the audio out of sync or some media doesn't start at all. Whereas using the apps for the various operating systems this problem does not happen. I have tried on multiple browsers such as Chrome, Edge and Firefox. On the first two it happens very often that the audio goes out of sync, while on Firefox this problem appears less but some media does not even play. ### Reproduction steps 1) Open jellyfin on a browser 2) Play the media ### What is the current _bug_ behavior? The file you are having has a couple of seconds of frames seems like missing at the beginning of the stream (but audio for those exists) and that makes the HLS fmp4 muxer unhappy. You can workaround this by disable prefer fmp4 transcoding container on the browser in playback settings.

This did the trick, thank you. Another little bug I encountered, settings for subtitle on Firefox doesn't apply, if you select bigger or smaller they don't change. In Chrome and Edge is working fine

The second issue is unrelated to this, and a PR to improve subtitle support on Firefox has already been merged into the master branch of the Jellyfin Web repo. Closing this, as the issue was due to corrupt media.
