Description of the bug
after attempting to install jellyfin onto the now lts version of ubuntu 24.10 "oracular"(every ubuntu version has a code name, one had an owel themed name at a point) jellyfin wont run even if installed manually. ubuntu 24.04(with 24.11) was retracted and is nolonger lts due to security issues present in the version in question.
Reproduction steps
attempt to install jellyfin on latest lts version of ubuntu(manually after wget and curl cmds failed)
sit for several hours wondering why the desktop nolonger loads
realize another app murdered a desktop AGAIN.
oh and theres no logs as for some reason they just never populated
What is the current bug behavior?
not booting and killing/ blocking the load of the desktop
What is the expected correct behavior?
not what it is doing as it is technically acting like its own malware itself.

24.10 is not LTS: https://ubuntu.com/about/release-cycle
Whoever told you it is, blame him not us.

The recommended way to install Jellyfin on a non-LTS version of Ubuntu is Docker. https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/installation/container
