It seems that subtitles / captions in Live-TV can not be disabled. They appear on every channel that has them enabled. No [CC] control in the player anywhere.

Reproduction Steps

Kodi 10.9.6
Create TV Tuner using a file with below content:

#EXTINF:-1 tvg-name="ZDF HD" tvg-id="ZDF.de" group-title="IPTV-DE" tvg-logo="https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jnk22/kodinerds-iptv/master/logos/tv/zdfhd.png",ZDF HD
https://zdf-hls-15.akamaized.net/hls/live/2016498/de/veryhigh/master.m3u8

Jellyfin Version

10.9.0

No response

Environment

- OS: Ubuntu 22.04

I guess AUTOSELECT=YES means that by default subtitles are enabled. With vlc the subtitles can be disabled/enabled.
