I doubt this is an issue with my server or config in general. This seems like a shortcoming of the Jellyfin client on iPadOS. Panning / zooming in does not work as intended and is very glitchy. Sometimes it partially works, other times it just doesn't at all.
I can say that the zooming / panning works almost perfectly on my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S10E running latest client from Google Play at time of writing), so this must be a client issue. It's quite annoying.
