Shuffle won't shuffle? #3183

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

Describe the bug
I just created a fresh collection of videos. When I press the "shuffle" button, it just plays the collection in the same order every time.

The playback should be in a shuffled order.

Could not reproduce with server version 10.8.12. Got different shuffle orders each time shuffling for the collection was initiated.

I can reproduce in the current build. Pressing shuffle on a collection is failing to shuffle, and for that matter also appears to be playing the collection in listed order.
It appears that this bug exists for existing collections but when creating a new collection the shuffle is happening as expected, so I think what needs to be looked at here is to make sure shuffle works on all collections, old and new.

I'm having the same issue on latest. Fresh collection. I press shuffle, it plays in order instead.
