📝 Provide a clear and concise description of the issue.

I've installed PVE9 on a new machine. I cannot install several LXC scripts, all of them have the same problem.
If I try to install the debian LXC script or the openwrt VM all is Ok.

Another PVE instance in my home lab has no problems, but that instance was installed with PVE8 some months ago and upgraded to PVE9.

🔄 Steps to reproduce the issue.

  1. Open a shell in PVE
  2. paste the install script
  3. execute with default options

Paste the full error output (if available).

Thanks for fast reply.

The problem is the following: whatever VM/CT that I create in this new machine, if I define fixed IP all is ok. If I define dhcp DNS does not work. I have no idea why.

For example, If I have a CT/VM with dhcp it can nslookup external addresses, but ping can only be done to the physical address.

This is very weird. My router (a physical machine) has OpenWRT with adblock installed. It has a 192.168.130.1 ip, and it should provide dns services from this ip. Windows dhcp clients are Ok, but Proxmox dhcp VM/CT are not (Proxmox fix IP are Ok).

Do you have an idea of what is causing this ?

Your dhcp is most likley sending some wires Ips for the dns server.
Just try and add 1.1.1.1 in the dhcp as the dns server option.

I've done that but the problem continues. There's a problem with my home network that I need to diagnose, but for sure it is not a community scripts problem.
