To update Komodo from 1.17.5 to 1.18.x

📝 Detailed description

This release moves official support to FerretDB v2. Users who deployed v1.17.5 or before using Postgres / Sqlite option are using FerretDB v1 and should eventually migrate using the FerretDB v2 Update Guide. Note that this is not a change to Komodo itself, only to the list of supported Mongo stand-ins. Users can update to 1.18.0 and continue to use FerretDB v1 if they wish.

💡 Why is this useful?

Not everyone like for example me are already so proficient in this kind of upgrades where there is a new version of the database. Perhaps it is possible to adjust the update (option) in that?

Komodo is an self Update Tool and use already since 2 or 3 weeks the DB.

Have you an Internet Explorer? 😄

Edit: since 12d is the Script refactored

Thnx @MickLesk ,

But I use version 1.17.5 and when I use "UPDATE" as mentioned in the discription the version stays 1.17.5 because there is a database upgrade necessary to use 1.18.x

??? Whats the issue If you do the Migration Part - the Script runs absolutely fine

I don't know what your requirement is. It's all written down. A manual migration is necessary. If it fails, we can't help you.

Nope not really. There are to much changes inside and nobody of us will break any systems. The Guide is enough, its the official part from Komodo (By the way, they do not do this automatically, they expect user interactions, see the link with the official guide))
