For some time now I've been getting an error during the "customizing LXC container" stage

🔄 Steps to reproduce the issue.

Step 1: run the command in the Proxmox VE Shell.

Thanks @MickLesk, a new issue then with my setup, this is not an issue related to Deluge / this specific script.

Seems this is not a DNS issue as I can ping www.google.com and 142.251.209.36 for instance. No issue with nslookup command as well. System is up to date :(

you can try to remove the template from pvesm (host) - so maybe try this (with debian)

your system (getent) only outputs an ipv6. "2a04:4e42:1d::644 debian.map.fastlydns.net deb.debian.org" Maybe your Network has issues with ipv6? Ip Limit? VLAN? MTU?

=> force ipv4

echo 'Acquire::ForceIPv4 "true";' > /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/99force-ipv4
apt-get update

after this:

@MickLesk did not see this possible issue with ipv6. Appreciate your effort !

Quick check on my UNIFI console (UDM SE)

  • WAN = IPV4 and IPV6 connection set using IPv4 and IPv6 from my ISP (static IP allocated)
  • VLAN 02 set on my Unifi console; VLAN 01 being dedicated to my Unifi devices, VLAN 02 is my main network.
  • Re. MTU = unchanged for the bond0 [Management, RJ45 port] and set this morning to 9000 for the bond1 using my 2x SFP+ NIC

@MickLesk no broken lxc - using the scripts, i can update the existing LXC - however, I cannot create a new LXC (Deluge being the one i chose as it was on my to do list).

Still trying to troubleshoot the issue but it sits with APT repository or access to internet

maybe its possible, that you dont get an dhcp ip or your dns server is fckn slow. Its an 30 Sec Delay to get an DNS Server or an DHCP IP and all failed
