📝 Provide a clear and concise description of the issue.

When attempting to update Docmost to version v0.21.0 inside an LXC container, the update process fails due to repeated ECONNRESET errors while fetching packages from the npm registry using pnpm. This causes the installation to abort, leaving the system in a partially updated state.

🔄 Steps to reproduce the issue.

Run the official update command for Docmost inside an LXC container
Observe the update process start with pnpm install --force.
Numerous warnings appear indicating:

WARN  GET https://registry.npmjs.org/... error (ECONNRESET). Will retry...
Eventually, the process fails with:

Error: aborted
at TLSSocket.socketCloseListener (node:_http_client:478:19)

Paste the full error output (if available).

There is nothing anyone can do, this is a connect reset of PNPM. Why is that? No idea, AdBlocker, DNS, coincidence.

Yeah you can try in the LXC to Crawl one of this tarfiles with curl, Work this? If Not, Check live statistics of your AdBlock (If you have one)

Na I don't have adblock, but I wonder if this relates to hash Sum mismatch issue I'm having.

Running Proxmox VE on an AMD mini PC, Debian Bookworm underneath, and all of a sudden apt update throws Hash Sum mismatch errors. It's trying to download files from deb.debian.org, but the hashes don't match up.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Cleared the APT cache (apt-get clean, removed /var/lib/apt/lists)

Set APT to force IPv4

Reinstalled ca-certificates and ran update-ca-certificates

DNS looks fine (using 1.1.1.1 + 8.8.8.8)

RAM and swap all good

Manually downloaded the file over HTTP → works fine
But HTTPS downloads keep cutting out midway with Decryption has failed.

TLS test with openssl s_client works, cert chain is valid

Tried alternate mirrors (e.g. ftp.au.debian.org) but one had an expired cert

Yea, all this smells like something related to your network or host having some type of issue. I'm afraid we can't really do much here.

Its an Default Install or advanced? Check your MTU

ip link show dev eth0

As Test you can Set the MTU to 1400
ip link set dev eth0 mtu 1400

Otherwise you can reduce big tcp packages (Execute in Host, but save your File before)
echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_no_pmtu_disc
iptables -t mangle -A FORWARD -p tcp --tcp-flags SYN,RST SYN -j TCPMSS --clamp-mss-to-pmtu

Quick update, so for some reason the cable between my router and my switch went from 1000 to 10/100. no idea why, i think the coupler in my patch rack might be faulty, but i unplugged it and plugged it back in and the light went from orange to green. I was then able to update my Debian Bookworm and as a another test i was able to update this LXC

Thanks for the constructive feedback, maybe it will help others in the future. Unfortunately, 95% of people always argue with us that such issues are only due to our scripts. 😅

Nah i never have issues with the scripts, they are awesome! it so much fun just spinning up apps to explore, though a good mate of mine who loves docker compose begs to differ lol
