Describe the feature you'd like
We use BookStack as Wiki/Documentation app for our organization. Currently, clicking on a book will direct the user to an index of chapters even when the book has a single chapter. We would like the option to direct the user straight to a certain chapter, or if the book has a single chapter, straight to that single chapter.

Describe the benefits this feature would bring to BookStack users
I know this may be small, but it would greatly help in the user experience.

Additional context
Thank you for the beautiful app!

Hi @redeuxx,
Just out of interest, to help me understand why this is needed, What is the point of having the chapter at all? Why not just use books and pages if you'd prefer to skip the chapter altogether?

Hello @ssddanbrown

Thanks for the reply!

I guess I used chapters when I meant to say pages. I do create pages within books, but in the current behavior, BookStack still shows an index of pages when clicking into a book instead of going straight to a page. I've been exploring BookStack for a few days now and I haven't seen an option to go straight to a page. It would great if when I edit a book, I can set a default landing page or maybe a chapter when displaying this book.

Thanks!

I feel the need for something like this as well. Our books have a lot of chapters and pages and opening a book is overwhelming, especially for new users. It would be nice if there was an initial page that explained how the book is organized and where to look for information.

So ideally there would be an option on each book to configure an initial page.
