Version: BookStack v0.24.1

I set editor to markdown.

The description fields (Shelves, Books and Chapters) do not support markdown, it means that markdown is not formatted properly when is into "description" fields.

Is there are any way to format the descriptions?

Currently markdown within description fields is not supported. Descriptions are purposefully designed to be as simple as possible. Allowing advanced formatting would add a good bit of complexity. It may also make it less clear where actual content should be placed whereas, at the moment, it's clear content is held in pages.

I personally would very much enjoy to have the possibility to set simple text formats like bold, italic, underline and above all links within the description. But true, it should be simplified to this most important format options.
