The documentation on SAML2 configuration (https://www.bookstackapp.com/docs/admin/saml2-auth/) is lacking information on the possibility of setting SAML2_ONELOGIN_OVERRIDES.

This is useful, e. g. for setting another NameIDFormat as described here: https://github.com/BookStackApp/BookStack/issues/2367

Describe the benefits this would bring to existing BookStack users

Advanced configurations for SAML2 providers.

Can the goal of this request already be achieved via other means?

Only the documentation needs to be extended.

Have you searched for an existing open/closed issue?

I have searched for existing issues and none cover my fundamental request

How long have you been using BookStack?

Not using yet, just scoping

Hi @nwintering,

This is already documented as part of the debugging guidance when it comes to SAML2 in our documentation.

I wouldn't really be keen on expanding upon this since this is really meant as a debugging or developer specific option for last resort trial and error or testing. If there are additional settings/changes which are absolutely needed within production environments, I'd prefer a request for new options be raised where we can specifically evaluate and then potentially specifically support those and document those as part of our documentation where there's a proven need.

Thanks @ssddanbrown for the quick reply! I overlooked the debugging guidance.
I will further evaluate the possibilities of different NameIDFormats and open a new issues if I feel like there is a need for improvement.
