Describe the feature you'd like

We're treating each business unit and customers as a shelf (i.e. Operations, Delivery, Hosting, Client information), with a book = technology (Network, security, O365, etc), and chapters = sub topics and pages = the how to guides.

Operations (shelf) > Network (book) > Routing (chapter) > Page (how to guide for specific issue). This structure works fine for general wiki. However, struggling to add customer specific information under this section from "Clients" shelf.

Ideally would like to be able to share page/chapter across - without having to move the entire book. What we'd like is to be able to add customer specific information into a different shelf/book.

Describe the benefits this would bring to existing BookStack users

Ability to relate information across different shelves. Provides the ability for the user to quickly see specific information

Can the goal of this request already be achieved via other means?

We've tried playing around with tags and templates, but it doesn't work as well with what we're trying to achieve.

Have you searched for an existing open/closed issue?

  • I have searched for existing issues and none cover my fundamental request

How long have you been using BookStack?

Under 3 months
