Attempted Debugging

  • I have read the debugging page

Searched GitHub Issues

  • I have searched GitHub for the issue.

Describe the Scenario

I've setup Bookstack on a LAN server, and directed ports 80 and 443 from the WAN IP to the bookstack server's internal LAN address. So, I should be able to pull up the bookstack on web interface via external IP/FQDN, but it's not working.

  • LAN access works fine.
  • VPN Access to the router also doesn't work, though I can ping the bookstack LAN IP when connected to VPN\Externally.

Running Ubuntu 20.04 with the Bookstack 21.12.

This is not running behind a reverse proxy. Is there anything that anyone can think of as to why Bookstack would not be accessible from the WAN interface or VPN interface, when I can ping the internal IP of the bookstack machine on the LAN?

Tried disabling Ubuntu's UFW... that didn't help. Didn't really see anything in IP Tables...

Enabled Public access in Bookstack settings...

Still not working....

Could it be related to this issue?

ok...this looks like me... ports 80 and 443 are actually showing filtered on an external port check, so I think this is my router... in spite to the ports appearing to be open... standby
