I made a mistake of ruïning my old Ubuntu installation so I had to re-install. Now I have done that, re-installed Bookstack but now for some reason it is not listening to the settings. If I try to uncheck things like the option to make the site public and save I get a message saying it is saved but in fact it is not, the checkmark is still checked.

I've tried to manually update the SQL table but it looks like it is already updated here, Bookstack is just not listening to settings in the database.

What could this be?

Looks like making www-data the owner of the bookstack-folder inside /var/www/ and chmodding it to 755 fixed the problem. Not sure why I didn't think of that before.. Whoops.
