I have searched the existing issues, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate report.

The bug

After editing a (HEIC) photo in the immich App on an iPhone, the edited photo had no meta data:

  • The original photo's recording timestamp has been replaced by the current system timestamp
  • Location is missing
  • Camera Details are missing
