The bug

I took a picture on my. I noticed that the image did not contain any location data, so using the native photo app on my phone I added a location. Then I opened the Immich app and the photo loaded and synced with the server. When I view the photo on Immich the image does not contain any location data. (If the picture I took on my phone automatically had location data then Immich would sync that data). This also affects when I add a description on the image on my phone using the native photo app and then upload to my Immich server, the description does not get synced with the server.

This is working as expected with the current behavior: the edited information isn't written to the original file but to a companion XMP file. The app currently doesn't handle sync XMP file on iOS
