IOS app glitch while selecting specific photos #7465

I have searched the existing issues, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate report.

The bug

While selecting (tap and hold, then drag) specific photos one or multiple of the following happen:

  1. All the thumbnails disappear.
  2. Dragging to select more fails. Only 1 photo at a time can be added. Even with subsequent tap+drags.

This ONLY happens with these specific photos. (The rest are buttery smooth as expected)

This is in a library of 45k+ photos, with ~15k uploaded from the phone (including the ones in question)

I don't see any way to reproduce this. Can you share a screen recording? You say this only happens to some particular assets - is there anything different about them?

Yup here is a video, its low res and from another phone to protect the people in the photos.

Any tips on what to look for in the photos? All the ones in the video above are from the same camera (EOS 70D) on the same day, minutes apart.
