@bo0tzz That issue was closed, the description is not very accurate, reinstalling mobile app does not help if load original image option was enabled

@kao-byte Can you confirm if this is solved in new versions of the app?

I’m not sure which version of the app you’re using but I’m using the latest version from the App Store and I’m still experiencing this issue.

Can you try reopening the app, I found sometimes this issue do not appear at first, but then appear after you reopen the app.

(on Android) I can't exactly reproduce this, but something similar, I tried:

  1. enable loading preview, enable loading originals
  2. disable loading preview, enable loading originals
  3. disable loading preview, disable loading originals. Only in this case, I was able to get the error thumbnail, but only if it tried to load one of the two video thumbnails in the album. The thumbnail of the second video loads fine...

then, switching to enable loading originals, I could 'reproduce' the issue. When I then switched on loading previews again, the app loads and maybe somehow caches the thumbnail, as then switching it off again, doesn't result in the error anymore.

In the latest version on iOS, I found

Loading preview Loading originals Result
Disable Disable No issues observed
Enable Disable No issues observed
Disable Enable The error thumbnail appears 99 % of the time, showing correctly for less than 1 second before the error is displayed
Enable Enable About  95 % of the time the thumbnail shows an error, only a few thumbnails display correctly, and the majority appear correctly for roughly one second before the error appears
