I have searched the existing issues, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate report.

The bug

Photos taken with my Samsung Z Fold6 main camera cannot be uploaded to my immich server from the app or web client. I suspect the format and/or metadata is not correctly interpreted. Photos from the selfie camera work fine.

I attach a sample photo.

I tried downloading the sample file from the original post and upload it via immich web UI (macOS/Safari), but that also fails. Tested to be sure it is not changed by github somehow.

We'll need the file in a .zip, otherwise github changes it. What error do you get when you try to upload it? Have you tried with a direct connection to port :2283 to make sure it's not a reverse proxy interfering?

I'll be damned! It actually works when bypassing the reversed proxy. Very strange it works with photos from the selfie camera but not the main camera. Size limitation perhaps. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion! I was way off in my conclusion.
