I have searched the existing issues, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate report.

The bug

I noticed that albums in the Android app are very flaky:

  • When Beta timeline is disabled, they take a very long time to load, sometimes as long as a couple of minutes
  • When Beta timeline is enabled, they load very quickly, but apart of the some amount at the top (no idea how many) all other albums show 0 photos and after I click at them, I cannot view any photos (album thumbnail is shown and there are photos in the web app)

The OS that Immich Server is running on

@Miosp With the beta timeline selected, Can you log out of the app, log back in and check if all the albums are synchronised properly then?

We had an issue with a migration from the last update, preventing successful remote syncs. Logout / login essentially resets the mobile database and thereby fixing the issue. The old timeline's sync slowness is a known issue, which is one of the primary reason we've rebuilt everything from the ground up with the newer implementation. I'll close this one as resolved. Feel free to open another issue if you face any more issues with the remote sync :)
