The bug

When I take a photo taken previously and crop it on the Immich mobile app, and save it as a new image, it saves using the date and time as the time I cropped the image, rather than it staying as the time the photo was taken originally.

The OS that Immich Server is running on

Reproduction steps

  1. Find a photo taken previously that's backed up.
  2. Click "Edit", then "Crop"
  3. Crop the photo to a new size
  4. Click "Save to gallery"
  5. The photo saves as a new photo, but in the timeline as the current day, not the day the photo was taken.

I'm unsure if this is intentional behaviour or not. If so, is there an option to change this to what I believe the intended behaviour should be?
