Task List

Please complete the task list below. We need this information to help us reproduce the bug or point out problems in your setup. You are not providing enough info may delay our effort to help you.

  • I have read thoroughly the README setup and installation instructions.
  • I have included my docker-compose file.
  • I have included my redacted .env file.
  • I have included information on my machine, and environment.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. docker-compose up -d using the attached docker-compose.yaml
  2. Check logs for the microservices container and notice that the the container fails to start and restarts in a loop.

Expected behavior
...microservices should start :P

Can you please remove the microservice container and recreate it?

This is happening because the application cannot resolve the DNS name download.geonames.org. Can you resolve that address from the host machine?

In the meantime, as a workaround, you can set DISABLE_REVERSE_GEOCODING=true. Of course this will do what it says on the tin :P

I'm closing this issue as it is not a bug in Immich.
