The bug

After upgrading from Immich v1.134.0 to v1.135.0, I'm encountering a persistent error on the home page after logging in:
Error Failed to Load Assets.

Image

Most of the images/videos are not loading on the web version. No errors found in any of the container logs.

Note: Mobile version is running fine (some small errors here and there but still loading all assets).

Reverting back to v1.134.0 (using the same volumes and database from archive created before the upgrade) resolves the issue and everything works as expected.

Deployment method: Docker Compose
Server Architecture: ARM64 (Oracle Cloud ARM instance)
OS: Ubuntu Server 22.04.05 LTS (fully updated)
Immich version: v1.135.0 (issue) | v1.134.0 (working)
Browser: Zen & Chrome (latest)

TLDR: Issue first noticed when upgrading from v1.134.0 to the latest version.

I first noticed the issue when I upgraded from v1.134.0 to the latest version.

I thought maybe there might be some breaking changes so I restored from my archive and first ran v1.134.0 to make sure it was running correctly, which it did.
Then I upgraded to the next possible version which was v1.135.0

But I can try upgrading to the latest version again.

Which upgrade do you suggest?

  1. Currently broken for web v1.135.0 to the latest?
  2. Working v1.134.0 to the latest?

The latest is 1.135.3 not 1.135.0. Iirc we fixed a few things in the patch releases
