The bug

Hi Guys,

I followed the procedures to backup my immich data to remote computer which exclude "encoded-video" and "thumbs" folder

when I tried to run fresh new immich with backup data, it failed to start because of missing file

  1. encoded-video/.immich
  2. thumbs/.immich

I copied missing files from my running server which solved the issue

ubuntu 24.04

Hi this is expected. They are just empty files, and if you are resetting the folder you can create the file manually.
