The bug

This bug seems to happen in my S23U Android 14 One UI 6.1 and on stock Motorola Android 14.
The Android system continuously informs that the app immich has crashed. It doesn't stop even if i reboot my phone or don't use the app.

When opening the app, it takes a long while to open. I think the app seems to 'realize' that the server is down and openup with the cached images in my phone later.

Hope this bug report is clear.

I've seen the crash report but haven't been able to identify the issue, and it starts happening after updating our Android API requirement to version 34. Can you try disable background backup to see if it helps?

Disabling background backup seems to stop the crashing notifications

@stickyfran Were you facing the same crashes with the beta timeline as well? If so, Can you try the recent release (142) and see if that fixes the crashes for you?
