Constant disk writes on a fresh install with no user activity or content uploaded #3207

The bug

immich is constantly writing to disk even when there is no user activity or content in the app. Fresh install, no images uploaded, no external libraries connected.

I'm bringing this up because it's impossible to put a spinning disk to sleep if immich is touching in some way that disk. Even when there is absolutely no user activity. I fire up immich only when I need to see some pictures and turn it off afterward.

Deleted all traces of immich on the server, restarted to reset the writes counts, and I Installed it using the official, unmodified docker-compose and .env files config on unRaid. On this server, I have the Docker files located on Cache and the immich database folder set to a folder in Memories_storage. So it must be something related to the database. The writes on Cache remained fixed after installation, while the writes count on Memories_storage is growing every second.

In just 15 minutes after installing immich the writes count went from 0 to 30.000. Simply by being installed and active. No activity whatsoever.

It's an old issue that, with every new release, I was hoping to see it squashed. But apparently, miracles don't happen by mistake.
