Reproduction steps

1. record video (slow motion videos most consistently recreate the issue however it can be done with normal videos)
2. upload video to immich server
3. video itself uploads fine
4. server gets stuck uploading file info

Additional information

im not sure if its entirely metadata
however when i looked into it the metadata of the failed video was 80 mb

this could also be because my server is a tad under powered
being a HP Pavilion Notebook
with a 4 core Intel i3-5020U
no GPU
and 8gb of ram

How are you connecting to Immich? HTTP, HTTPS, reverse proxy, cloudflare, etc?

Are you sure it is having a problem? It is normal for the bar to show "uploading file info" when it is done backing up. Does the video not appear on the Immich website?

Are you using a reverse proxy of any kind? Those often have a POST body size limit by default.

i do have a reverse proxy with nginx and cloudflare settup
however when i do it directly to immich without any proxies the issue still remains

Please be more specific with the issue. Does the video in question not appear on the website, but all your other files do? Are there errors in the app logs?

i just uploaded 2 slow motion videos directly and they did work (whoops)
however the first time i encountered this issue
it would continuously get stuck uploading the video and never actually upload
it wouldn't show up in the site no matter where i tried to access it or upload from

sadly i gave up and deleted the original problem video
plus this was a week ago

Makes sense. Please feel free to open a new issue if you can reproduce it again.
