The bug

The used storage on the bottom left corner seems to be doing weird since I update from 1.97 to 1.98. Now I updated to 1.99 and the number is gone up even more nuts..

I red your comment. So I had the idea to remove the quota to 0. Refreshed the page.
This will show on the bottom left now the total space used on the whole server, so not on user. (But that is another disccussion maybe)

On Server Stats:

So that works as expected for the most part.

Then when I now put it back to 100Gb. It will give a 'normal' number. But way lower then it actual is.

I'm not known with the structure of the DB and all. Could it be that it did reset the value during migration, because the 2.3gb is a +- around what I added between the upgrade then and now. Just a guess.

But I don't know between what version it happened though... I thought it would be something temporary, so didnt mention it.

Owh and I now see that 63gb + 10gb + 150Mb is not 83.7Gb

But probably that does include Thumbs and video transcodes
It does show correctly on top of stats:

I am seeing a discrepancy as well.

Lower left corner: 339.1 GiB of 6.8 TiB used, server stat which seems accurate, 1.19 TiB. I would expect the lower left corner to say 1.19 TiB of 6.8 TiB used.

This seems to be solved for me now.

Only weird now is that when I set storage to unlimited. It shows the size off the overall volume where immich has access to?

I will see if there is already another issue for it open, otherwise I will create a new one. For now I will close this one

Same issue here, the Usage page has the correct size 1 GiB, but the bottom left corner is showing
104.7 GiB (total size of everything on the disk) of 931.5 GiB used (total size of the disk).

What is the purpose of this bottom left corner? To make it more useful, maybe we can show the amount of space potentially still available for immich to store (931.5 GiB - 104.7 GiB)

This sounds like a different bug to me – might be this one ([BUG] Incorrect storage display size for Mac).
