The bug

I have shared 2 albums with the wifes account.. in her iOS there are no albums listed.. but logging into the web she can see the two albums

I am pretty sure the app has to finish calculating the hash for the assets on her phone first before the albums would show up

Can you check on the Photo page? The spinner has stopped spinning? Also try logout and log back in

Correct.. the spinner had not finished

I selected a different folder to backup instead of recent so that it would finish faster

And yes the shared folders are now visible
