The bug

During browsing of photos, I opened a photo and wanted to find more photos from a person. They were found and I wanted to return to the main page of Immich. That was not possible numerous click on return just shuffled between place and people. It was necessary to change the url to return to main page.

Expected behavior:
Return to previos page.

Reproduction steps


Prerequisite: Imported photos with locations containing identified people.

1. Open web immich
2. Go to Explore
3. Select a Place
4. Open a photo with identified people
5. Click Info
6. Click on a person to find all photos with that face
7. (The People page is shown with found photos)
8. Click back button
9. The previous page shown with the place photos
10. Click back button again
11. People page is shown (expected to return to explore page)
12. (Continous click on return shows places/search & people.)
