The bug

It seems to be that immich when importing a photo, if there is no EXIF data it will default to Unix Timecode 0 as the date to set, which ends up being December 31, 1969. Does immich currently read from the file's created date if no valid EXIF data is found?

v1.74.0

Version of Immich Mobile App

1. Install Immich
2. Upload a photo with either invalid or non-existent EXIF data
3. Check Immich, the date should be set to Dec 31, 1969

Sure, I'll see if I can find one of the ones that's being labeled as Dec 31st, 1969 and wouldn't be too much of a personal photo. Obviously.

So this is interesting. It may be something different. I just started scrolling through all the ones marked as December 31st 1969, and they are all videos. Not photos. So this may be an issue with video, not pictures. I'm looking through it right now to find a video that I could share.

Here you are. I just grabbed one of the videos that my dad took for the YouTube channel he's doing with my sister.

It's actually pretty cool, it's for wheelchair racing. That's what's in the video.

But anyway, hopefully you can figure out why it's doing this. If you need anything else, just let me know.
