The bug

In Google Photos, if you open the picture you can drag and drop from the browser into the desktop. Immich doesn't allow this. But it's literally the quickest way to get a photo from the web gallery into the file system. Drag, drop, done. I don't want to have to click multiple things to download one photo when a drag and drop can do the job in 2 seconds.

The OS that Immich Server is running on

Debian 12

Version of Immich Server

v1.71.0

Version of Immich Mobile App

Not applicable

Platform with the issue

  • Server
  • Web
  • Mobile

Your docker-compose.yml content

NA

Your .env content

NA

Reproduction steps

Open browser gallery. Click a photo to open it big. Drag the photo into the operating system desktop or a folder. It doesn't do anything. In GP, if you drag an expanded picture from the browser into the desktop, it saves it there. Faster than using a save button and navigating folders to cut and paste files.
