Hello there. So I'm having trouble calibrating the controller as I have to induce error in order for games to behave on real PS4 hardware. The PS4 expects an 8% error with the diagonals. Some games like Stardew Valley and Streets Of Rogue demand this range as well, as diagonals will be registered as you walking. Can we get an option for it to map to expected hardware error rather than lowest error? I understand for PC, you would want lowest error possible but it causes problems on real hardware and renders some games unplayable.
Pictured is a typical DS4. Every DS4 I've ever had has had a similar error on the diagonals. I've managed to induce similar errors but it's quite a janky and long process of trial and error.
EDIT: btw a lot of that time is because you can't calibrate just one stick at a time. I suspect this is a hardware issue, but I figured I'd bring it up anyways.

Hi, I think these questions are better if asked on our Discord server! You can find the link on the website

I'm not asking any questions. I'm suggesting adding an option to calibrate it with a real expected range if possible. I have it all calibrated already but it took way longer than it needed to be and isn't the most accurate. I also suggested per stick calibration if possible.
EDIT: I reread my post and I can understand why one would think I was asking a question. My bad.
EDIT2: If you would still prefer to discuss this on Discord rather than here, I can too. I can understand how this could be cumbersome to have a back and forth on the issue.

I agree this is an issue, but unfortunately not one we can fix. If someone ever figure out how to do fine tuning on the DualShock 4 (like what's possible on the DualSense) then we'll definitely address this.
Until then you can find some useful tips on calibrating the DS4 range here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1fI9URmXJQ
